Frequently Asked Questions
In response to the numerous questions we are always asked, we have
created this Frequently Asked Questions page.
Q: Where were you registered?
A:
Dillards, Sears
and Longaberger. Contact us for a copy of the Longaberger registry
list.
Q: What were you registered for at each place?
A: We were registered for fine china and silverware, cookware, and some
gifts at Dillards. At Sears, we were registered for tools, lawn and
garden equipment, small appliances and other house wares. At Longaberger, we
were registered for everyday china.
Q: What are your china patterns?
A: The fine china is Noritake ivory bone china,
Brookhollow. The everyday china is
Longaberger Pottery, in Heritage Green.
Q: Do I have to purchase items from the registry at the stores you
registered at?
A: Of course not! There are other stores that carry the items on our
registry; many of them sell the same items for a lot less money. If you
happen to purchase an item from somewhere other than where we
registered for it, we'll adjust our registry list accordingly. The
outlet stores are a good starting point, although here are a few other
suggestions of where you can purchase our registry items:
- Oxo cooking utensils: Le Gourmet Chef and Corning/Revere at
Aurora Premium Outlets, Kohl's, K-Mart & Wal-Mart
- Noritake china: Kaufmanns
- Calphalon cookware: Le Gourmet Chef at Aurora Premium
Outlets & Target
- Pyrex: The Kitchen Collection, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target and
outlet stores
- Bed & Bath linens: outlet stores
- Kitchen appliances: Wal-Mart, K-Mart and Target
Q: What is the significance of May 4 as your wedding day?
A: You mean other than that it's Kentucky Derby Day, or the 32nd
anniversary of the Kent State shootings? No, for us, holding the
wedding on May 4 does not hold any special meaning (besides that it's
our special day!). But take a look at some
other important events that have taken place on May 4 in the past!
Q: What were your colors?
A: While the groom was partial to brown and orange, Renee chose sky
blue.
Q: What's the story with Renee's ring?
A: The stone is a Princess cut, a white gold setting, with a gold band.
The stone is .72 cwt, because Renee was born in 1972.
Q: Have you selected your bands yet?
A: Musical or rings?
Q: I'll ask the questions here.
A: Oh, sorry. Yes, we have selected our wedding bands.
Q: And?
A: Vinnie's band is a simple gold band. Renee's band is a wrap, that
will complement her engagement ring. There are two triangle-shaped
stones, one on each side, called "Trilliums". One stone is Renee's
birthstone, periodot, and the other is Vinnie's birthstone, pink
tourmaline.
Q: Well, since you brought it up, how about the musical band?
A: Good Question.
Q: I thought it was.
A: You've heard them, too?
Q: You're back to asking questions again?
A: You asked who we chose for the band at the reception.
Q: Yes. Who did you choose?
A: Good Question.
Q: Something tells me we've been down this road before.
A: You didn't phrase that in the form of a question.
Q: Look, why don't you just give an answer?
A: I did give an answer.
Q: You did?
A: Yes. "Good Question" is the name of the band. They're from
Ashtabula, and have been performing for over 30 years. They are made of
up of some former members of another Ashtabula band called Qiana.
They're regulars at Geneva-on-the-Lake in the summertime.
Q: Okay, on to other questions. Where do you plan to live?
A: Glad you asked! Our new
address is:
4100 West 58th Street
Cleveland, OH 44144-1709
Q: Where did you go on your honeymoon?
A: The Caribbean! We booked ourselves on a 7-day cruise on the
Carnival Victory, the largest cruise ship in the Carnival Cruise
line (at the time). We toured the
eastern Caribbean, departing out of Miami on May 5 and visiting San
Juan, St. Thomas and St. Maarten. Our cabin was on the lido deck and
was an ocean view room with a private balcony.
Q: Why does Whiskers say he has a darn mom?
A: Because Renee is very lax in providing him with carrots on a timely
basis. A rabbit has to eat, you know! |
